Our family of four had an amazing time while staying at Debbie's house. She runs a meticulous operation with an immaculate, well stocked house (more often not the case with rentals-- try having to reach for a ball that has rolled under the sofa and you'll understand). Debbie was responsive to inquiries during our stay even when she wasn't in town. The highlights of our trip were the spacious deck where we ate all of our meals enjoying the scenic cove, collecting oysters from the beach, eating our fill of oysters and kayaking around. Thanks for the memories; we hope to be back!
Great house, very comfy with all the needed items for a great stay for a family or a couple getaway! Easy access, a daily visit from a bald eagle was the highlight of each day from our back porch... all the convenience of home including great wifi, cable access. The house seems very updated or brand new, honestly not much to complain about. A couple of warnings, early morning noise from the road can disrupt a really good sleep... and if it gets hot in the day, need to open the windows as there is no AC. Thanks for sharing your great home with us Harringtons!
We stayed for an extended weekend. The owners were very prompt in answering our communication, and were very helpful in making our stay as enjoyable as possible. The area was great for kayaking and hiking. The house was extremely clean and well-equipped. I would have no hesitation in booking this property again, or recommending this property to friends or relatives for a vacation.
We were looking for a nice place to stay around the Olympic Penninsula for my family and my sister in-law's family and found this amazing place in in Hood Canal. When we arrived, we were delighted to see how well the house was prepared for our visit. The house was new, well kept and maintained with a great kitchen and a beautiful master bathroom - it looked exactly like the pictures. Not only was it very clean and organized, but we noticed the attention to little details that made it special such as having wood set up in the fireplace ready for lighting and towels nicely arranged in different patterns in each bedroom. During our stay, both families had a fantastic time with the provided kayaks, swimming, beachcombing and taking on nearby trails. Upon our return to the house, we were able to cook a yummy meal in the well appointed kitchen. By the way, the bald eagle you see in the pic, well we actually saw him as it perched on a nearby tree...ok, maybe it's not the same one, but we did see one every morning. All in all, this house suited us perfectly as it gave us the sea and nature in the backyard of a modern, comfortable house. Lastly, I would like to add that the owner, Debbie was helpful, understanding and quick to respond to all our inquiries. Both our families agreed that we will definitely rent this place again. We stayed the last few days of June and absolutely enjoyed this waterfront home. The house is well-equipped and a great location to hiking trails north and south. The kayaks are a wonderful amenity....our girls, 9, 10, & 11 thoroughly enjoyed using them. Debbie was easy to work with, responsive, and provided a wealth of information that made our trip even better. We saw a variety of birds, including bald & spotted eagles, 4 different types of hummingbirds that frequented the outdoor dining area, and many other colorful species that we were not familiar with. On the water, there are thousands of crabs, krill, oysters and small fish, making for fun exploration without even leaving the property. We'd recommend this home to anyone seeking a view home close to the east side of the Olympic National Park.
