Where doI even begin? First of all the ease in planning our 4 night mini vacation on Anderson Island was wonderful. The cabin owner Bailey answered my many questions daily leading up to our trip promptly and with sincere kindness. It became quickly evident that we were renting from a fantastic family. This became even more evident the moment we walked into the cabin! Wow, not only was it beautiful it was warm and inviting, clean, organized and made you just feel like you could curl up and relax with a cup of coffee. We did that often actually. The property was perfect for my husband and I, our adult children and 2 grandchildren. The entire house was decorated beautifully and the beds were all very comfortable, a big must for us. The kitchen was stocked wonderfully and we enjoyed preparing all of our meals in it. The large gas grill was perfect for us. The outdoor area, large deck, beautiful sprawling yard right on the lake with a large lakefront area to enjoy relaxing was perfect. We brought water floats & tubes and enjoyed floating the calm beautiful lake every day. Swimming was wonderful and it was a perfect setting for us with our grandchildren 8 & 9 who never wanted to get out of the water. This home and the overall experience we had with Bailey, as well as the beautiful setting made this a most wonderful memorable mini vacation for our family. Everyone wants to retuen next year of course which as parents and grandparents makes my husband and I just thrilled knowing everyone loved it as much as we did.
I kid you not, our jaws dropped when we walked in. This cabin is beautiful, down to the very last detail. As soon as we walked in, we already wished we weren't only staying 2 nights. The space is designed so that every inch is used - from a reading nook for the kids to an extra bed in a converted closet (which we used, and it was great for the kid who apparently needs his own sleeping quarters). The place really felt like home. We had 2 families with kids and never once felt cramped. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything you could need. The decor really sells this place too. It's all really nice and coordinated. And for someone who may be a little OCD (says my husband) like me, this really put a smile on my face :) As for the property - WOW! This lot is huge! And the amount of private waterfront was just a blast with the kids. We could actually sit on the deck with a beer in our hands while the kids played volleyball in the yard and swam in the lake (with life jackets of course). The public swim area is just a couple of lots away, and completely visible from this property, so that was a fun added bonus. We loved the gas fireplace on the deck. We put a movie on for the kids in the loft both nights, while we sat outside and watched the sunset around the fireplace. It was incredibly relaxing! The corner store is super convenient. We ran there a couple of times and it was only about 2 minutes away. I never even knew of Anderson Island and have lived in the Seattle area my entire life. If you haven't been there, go! And stay here! It was peaceful and beautiful and we look forward to going back next year! Hands down, the nicest rental I've ever stayed in.
