About this listing

Beautiful waterfront home, located on the shores of Lake Memphremagog, this 35 mile long 350+ foot deep lake that spans from Newport Vt. to Magog Canada, has incredible sunset views, and one of the greatest things about the lakes of The North East Kingdom is the lack of boat traffic that offer serene settings. Our house has a spacious living room, kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a washer and dryer, and a nice deck with direct access to the lake, and a back deck also. Plenty of outdoor activit...

Gabrielle is a delightful person and a fantastic host. Nothing was too much trouble and she made sure I had everything I needed. Gabrielle introduced me to her neighbours/friends, which made me feel like

A perfect place to get away for the weekend... had all the right conveniences we were looking for! This place has a cool & modern vibe that makes you feel like you're vacationing at a log cabin resort. The view of the lake (& Canada) is unbeatable and getting there couldn't have been easier. Owners are laid back & their communication was great throughout the experience. Would highly recommend this spot!

We stayed for a little less than a week and it was not enough. The house was great, the docks were peaceful and the water was warm and shallow enough for our dog to stand/swim for yards! We all had a very lovely vacation.

This home was fantastic for our family vacation. The house is situated right on the lake with a great dock and easy access to the water for launching the two kayaks that are provided. The lake is huge but this location is very kid friendly as you can walk out over 100 yards and still be only thigh deep (bring water shoes, typical glacier lake with rocks). This lake is over 200 feet deep in some spots, so its great fishing. Very close to Canada, so bring your passports for a great day trip to the town at the other side of the lake. Jay Peak is just 15 miles away with their huge water park. The house itself has 4 bedrooms so plenty of room for the kids and grandkids. The theme of the place is bears and is decorated accordingly. There are 3 decks two of which are facing the lake for incredible views of the lake and those sunsets, WOW. You will be thanking me when your sitting with your sweetheart with a glass of wine and watching the best sunset you ever seen. BTW, don't forget to get a beer tasting in at Kingdom Brewing, Brian Cook runs the place and has some really great beers. This was such a great vacation, if you choose this place you will not be disappointed.

Our host David was attentive and available when needed. The accomodations were overall nice and comfortable and in good working order. The location is good with respect to the proximity of downtown Newport, Hill Farmstead and great bike trails yet isolated to feel your away from the everyday bustle. Memphramagog is a fantastic lake with little fishing pressure and few other boaters. A few remarks to add perspective....the camp is located on an area of the lake that is very shallow, 2 feet deep, for a good distance away from shore 200 ft or so. This can be fine for some who like wading, for true swimmers probably not so much. Big boats would have a hard time docking here as well being shallow. Also adjacent to the water front is an access point for several houses along the street who use the area to swim and retrieve boats. The porch however on the house has good shrubbery blocking some of this activity which is very nice. The yard is sloping and not real big though perfect for our dog, not so perfect for badminton. Also bring coolers for extra beverages as the fridge is on the small side or maybe we are weird and liked to be well stocked with good VT beer?? Thanks David, we had a great vacation. I hope I wasn't too harsh.

Fantastic views from the living room and front deck and all the amenities in this house made for a wonderful and very enjoyable stay. The owner was available for a couple of questions that we had, and was quite helpful and always friendly. His love of the property was readily apparent and he seems to be on a quest to continually upgrade an already great property. I heartily recommend this home for anyone looking to spend some time in the Northeast Kingdom.
