Gabrielle is a delightful person and a fantastic host. Nothing was too much trouble and she made sure I had everything I needed. Gabrielle introduced me to her neighbours/friends, which made me feel like

My husband and I stayed here in early October and it was the perfect place to stay for our trip to Amsterdam. The owners are a lovely, helpful couple and provide you with guide to the area. The flat has excellent wifi and is a block or two away from many of the neighborhood's charming restaurants and shops. You're a relatively short walk to central Amsterdam, but far enough away that you're not surrounded by it at night and can enjoy some quiet. The kitchen is well supplied and the shower was very large. We will gladly stay here the next time we're in the Netherlands.

My husband and I loved our stay at Bloemstraat and could easily imaging returning there and staying for a month or more. The location is excellent with easy access to the Nine Streets, the canals, and the museum district. The train station and Dam Square is also very convenient. The apartment is well-appointed with comfortable furniture and it is very bright with large windows at the front and back. It's also only one floor up so carrying bags up to the apartment is not too difficult. While the kitchen is very well stocked, I would suggest that a toaster be added. While I know that the Dutch do not like to toast fresh bread, nice warm buttered toast is pretty essential to most North American guests. The hosts own two apartments in this building and the photos on the site are for the one in which we did not stay. We liked our apartment very much, but it should be noted that there are small differences between the two units. If you ask them for photos of the other unit (should you receive that one), they will provide them. That being said, our hosts, Mary and Dirk were both very accommodating and all communication was excellent. Mary met us at the apartment upon arrival and oriented us to the apartment and the neighbourhood. I would recommend Bloemstraat without reservation.

This apartment is so close to many attractions and wonderful restaurants. It is exactly like the pictures and Dirk was very easy to work with. We would absolutely stay here again.

This flat is superbly centrally located right next to the Westerkerk. It is on the top floor of a terraced 3-floor townhouse. Dirk met us at the property and gave us a very friendly and helpful welcome. The apartment is superbly equipped, with all the cooking equipment you may need: utensils, hob, microwave, filter coffee machine, large fridge, dishwasher. There is a stack of other useful supplies (washing-up liquid, coffee etc) to save you hassle and expense of buying basics. All linen (towels, sheets etc) is supplied. There is a small bedroom with 2 single beds (pushed together, no room to separate) with adjoining shower room. There is a separate small toilet in the hall. It is bright, airy and nicely furnished. It is in excellent condition (clean, paintwork fresh). There is no TV - but come on people, you didn't go to one of the finest cultural capitals of the world to watch telly! The location is its winner - right in the middle of things. No need for trams or taxis - everywhere is in walking distance - Dam Square, 5 mins, Centraal Station 20 mins, Rijksmuseum 30 mins. Only minor annoyances were late night street noise, but we visited during a heatwave so had to have all windows and doors open. If you come in the height of summer bear in mind mosquitoes as we both got bitten quite badly with all the windows open. In all - a great apartment for a city break. Not the cheapest, but worth every single Euro. Thank you so much, Dirk & Mary, for a fantastic stay!

We have visited Amsterdam a number of times, staying in some very good hotels, but this was undoubtedly the best visit. The location is excellent. The flat is located on a quiet street, sufficiently remote to enjoy peace and quiet but only 5 minutes away from the tram stop and essential shops. In the side streets of the neighbourhood there are many small and very unique restaurants and bars away from mass tourism and offering a great selection of food at reasonable prices. As with most Dutch properties the flats is compact, but perfectly adequate for a city break. The accommodation is clean, modern and well equipped. It is so convenient to be able to pop out for grocery shopping or return home during the day to rest tired feet. Dirk was at the flat to greet us and was very helpful when we had a minor problem. We strongly recommend the accommodation.
