Our group of (6) had a wonderful time staying at this property for 5 days. The owner communicated all of the information we needed ahead of time and checking in was quick and easy. The house is very spacious and has lovely interior decorating. The location couldn't have been better, as it was a quick walk to many shops/restaurants/bars/cafes and only a couple of blocks to the train. Highly recommended if you need a great place to stay with a larger group!
richard never showed up for nothing we have to call hin to get the password to the very bad wifi is available in the house.thee beds are fullof bed bugs we all havr a rash very bad due to this insects shame of richard to rent a place in this condition.the towels very very old no sheets to replace 13 days of rent -Is to sad that such a nice place in not well taken care sorry about this comments but we paid a lot of money to sleep in a clean bed .The beds are ok they have to fumigate the beds and the house .The private garden is not private we have to share with next door guys. with very little interest from the owner this can be a nice place Three days with no water of gas due to construccion in front of the house richard was called many times during these days never answer the calls same with the rental inf we get it 5 days before the trip.I think the owner has very little interest in their guest. the worse problem has the house in the thousand of bed bugs are in every bed and the internet most of the time is not available Rodolfo Dent
Very well appointed and comfortable apartment. Quiet location, but easy walking to all main sites. Outside space a bonus. Would definitely recommend this apartment for families and small groups looking for a peaceful location on a quiet canal
The property is well-situated. It's down a quiet residential street, but it's walking distance to great restaurants, fun shops, a grocery store and all forms of transit. The rooms are a decent size, and there are good linens and towels. There's storage for clothing and luggage. The kitchen is fairly well-stocked. We did go out to get a corkscrew and a spatula and there's limited cutlery. It does have a nice Senseo coffee maker. We took advantage of the shuttle service, and it was nice to have that arranged for us. We'd recommend this to travelers who are looking for a 'home away from home'.
My family of 5 (including 3 kids ages 12, 13, &16) stayed at the Van Gogh Suites apartment in June and really enjoyed it. It's very comfortable, and the washer/dryer were greatly appreciated. It is located in a nice spot. Quiet, but a short walk into the more popular/louder spots. The apartment was clean and as described. I found my bed to be very comfortable. My kids didn't complain, so I assume theirs were as well. I called Richard when we arrived and he gave us the code and a quick little info on the closest amenities, i.e. grocery mart around the corner. The apartment is located on the Prinsengracht (canal) that you can follow along to get to the Jordaan region. But we also walked straight through towards Centraal Station and other things located in the city center. We took a bike ride with We Bike Amsterdam into the countryside which was fantastic, despite the drenching rain that started about halfway in--I highly recommend finding a bike company and taking a tour. We also took a train ride to Haarlem for one of our days, including a trip out to Zandvoort to see the North Sea. There is a really nice bakery called Bakhuys a block or so away. We found it on our last morning, unfortunately. Overall, a really nice place to stay.
