We only stayed one night, we did a lot of driving and we got to far away to come back
Such a unique experience to be able to stay in such a historical home. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the place and loved being able to walk down to the access to the beach.
Our family of five spent a wonderful week at this comfy, well appointed cabin while accompanying our daughter back to Carroll College. The cabin was extremely comfortable and set the tone for a relaxing peaceful rest away from our busy lifestyle. The view of the gorgeous lake from the cabin was magnificent! The deck area of the cabin is a wonderful outdoor living space and our teens enjoyed competition at the dart board every evening. Nothing was better than the graceful deer on the front lawn and deck of the cabin and they soon became our friends. The owners were very helpful with our requests for advice on where to fish and what to see. We spent two days boating and exploring the public beaches on jet skis. Nighttime was quite and and tranquil and even the lightening show was memorable. The entire place was perfect.
We stayed at five homes during our Montana vacation and this one was the best. It ticked all our boxes, clean and comfortable, charm galore and fantastic location with beautiful views. We enjoyed playing darts in the evening and our nightly visits from the deer. They came right to the edge of the deck and settled in to watch us play darts. Sitting around the fireplace in the evenings was a treat. Plenty of firewood and lots of other amenities . My husband fished all over Montana but the best was just a across the street and down the easy to navigate wooded steps. And lastly, good communication and trust is very important when you are renting a vacation home and Nancy and Carroll get an A+! We usually don't return to the same place twice but in this case we just might have to do it!
Our family truly enjoyed this property! The cabin was a perfect combination of the old & new with amazing antique features and modern convenience. We spent most of the time on the wonderful deck & porch soaking in the lake views in those hanging chairs. Our hosts were so warm & welcoming and close by when we had questions. The kitchen was well appointed & charming and we suggest bringing up every meal and cooking as the restaurants nearby were disappointing. The cabin stayed cool all day & was super comfortable. Our only disappointment was lake access, it was pretty steep to get to the lake so we had to drive our kayak just a short distance to a really nice camp ground. We enjoyed every minute at the cabin & recommend it highly!
