This unique antique building has been very tastefully finished and decorated in the interior. It is just a couple of blocks walk to the ferry to Bar Harbor and a few mile drive to Arcadia National Park's Schoodic Peninsula. Enjoy the view out the windows of the tide rising, sea gulls and great blue heron feeding and changing clouds. We enjoyed our stay in this unique building which I remember from my childhood as a donut shop.
Located in the little village of Winter Harbor overlooking the cove. About an hour from the crowds on the Mt. Dessert portion of Acadia National Park, but just up the road from the gorgeous Schoodic Point portion of Acadia. Everything was clean and tidy. On-street parking nearby. You might bring a cooler with you, as the fridge is dorm-sized. IGA right across the street. Several restaurants within walking distance. Owners are responsive. A good location for exploring the Maine Coast.
We spent 7 days in mid Juli , the house is really nice and cosy, terific view, grociery store right across the Street, Ferry boat to bar Harbor and 15 minutes to Schoonic Point.
Lovely family owned cottage over the water, peaceful and charming. We spent three wonderful days there and hope to return one day. Perfect place to unwind and relax. Grocery just accross the street, nice breakfast place just up the street. We truly recommend The Donut Hole.
